The first Seed Forum Trondheim was conducted spring 2007, and in total 4 Seed Forums has been conducted so far in Trondheim. All Seed Forums in Trondheim has been hosted by the DnBNOR bank whereof the 3 first forums at Beddingen and the last forum in the premises of the bank at Torvet in Trondheim. The networking sessions after the 2 last processes has been conducted in the Lobby Bar of Hotel Britannia.

Seed Forum Trondheim is presenting companies from the Trøndelag region of Norway, and the main nominators of companies are the regional offices of Innovation Norway in South and North Trøndelag Counties, the DnBNOR bank, Leif Eriksson Science Park (LEN) in Trondheim, The Innovation Centre of the National Technical University of Norway in Trondheim, Proneo Innovation Centre in Verdal and Science Park 1 in Steinkjer.

Seed Forum has currently taken the initiative to establish a local Seed Forum process in the City of Steinkjer in the Northern Trøndelag County as an additional local activity to Seed Forum Trondheim.
