SEED FORUM IN LATVIA

The first Seed Forum in Riga took place spring 2008, and all forums in Riga have been hosted by DnBNORD Banka in the Glass Hall of Hotel Bergs. The evening receptions after all Seed Forums in Riga has been conducted in cooperation with the Royal Embassy of Norway in Latvia.  

Seed Forum Riga has created a great interest, and the amount of participating investors in the forums has been steadily growing. The first pitch training for Latvian companies took place in Riga spring 2009, and more than 30 Latvian companies have so far been taking part in pitch trainings in Riga. The pitch trainings in Latvia are conducted among others in close cooperation with the Latvian Investment and Development Agency – LIAA. Latvian companies have been presenting in Seed Forum Riga together with foreign companies since spring 2009.

The Seed Forum Latvia Foundation was established autumn 2008 and is a Latvian not-for-profit foundation with the responsibility to conduct the Seed Forum concept in Latvia. The aim of Seed Forum in Latvia is to contribute to create Latvian growth companies and to create inward investment of foreign companies to Latvia which is considered as very important in this difficult times of the Latvian economy.
