The Seed Forum concept in China was started with the first Seed Forum in Shanghai spring 2006, and Beijing was added as a Seed Forum destination autumn 2006. Seed Forum activities in China are currently concentrated on Seed Forums in Shanghai and in Beijing.

Seed Forum was also presented at the Chinese national High-Tech conference in Shenzen autumn 2006.

Seed Forum has taken the initiative to conduct a first pitch training for Chinese companies in Shanghai primo 2011. Seed Forum International Foundation has also taken the initiative to establish a not-for-profit Seed Forum foundation in China which will be further responsible for all Seed Forum activities in China. The plan is to further establish local Seed Forum processes in Guangcho in 2011 and in Shenzen and in Hongkong in 2012.
