In total 4 Seed Forums per year are currently hosted in Oslo whereof 2 international investor matchmaking forums with Norwegian and international companies, and 2 local investor matchmaking forums presenting local companies from the Oslo Region.

The first local Seed Forum in Oslo was conducted spring 2004 in the premises of the Selmer Law Firm at Aker Brygge. The local Seed Forums in Oslo has since spring 2007 been hosted in the main auditorium in the headquarters of the DnBNOR bank at Aker Brygge, and so far in total 10 local Seed Forums has been conducted in Oslo. The local Seed Forums in Oslo was previously also branded at “Vekstforum”.

The first international Seed Forums was conducted autumn 2003 as a module in the VentureLab Investment Forum and since autumn 2005 also included as an activity in the Oslo Innovation Week. Seed Forum are from autumn 2009 hosting a separate Seed Forum International investor matchmaking forum in Oslo as a part of the Oslo Innovation Week. The venue of Seed Forum International in Oslo is the 2nd floor auditorium of the PwC building in Bjørvika.

Most of the evening receptions after Seed Forum Oslo have been hosted by the British Ambassador to Norway in the British Ambassador’s Residence in cooperation with United Kingdom Trade and Investment, but evening receptions after Seed Forum Oslo has also been hosted by the Swedish Ambassador to Norway in his Residence and  by the Ukrainian Ambassador in the Ukrainian Embassy.

The main nominators of companies to the local Seed Forum process for the Oslo Region is the regional office of Innovation Norway for the Oslo Region, The Oslo Research Park and Innovation Centre, the other main innovation centers in the Oslo Region and the DnBNOR bank.  

Most of the evening receptions after Seed Forum Oslo have been hosted by the British Ambassador to Norway in the British Ambassador’s Residence in cooperation with United Kingdom Trade and Investment, but evening receptions after Seed Forum Oslo has also been hosted by the Swedish Ambassador to Norway in his Residence, by the German Ambassador in the house of the Norwegian-German Chamber of Commerce, by the Ukrainian Ambassador in the Ukrainian Embassy and by the Ambassador of Latvia in The Latvian Embassy.
